Social media is great, but it is not the only way to get fans
⏰ 2 hours and 37 minutes.
Do you know what this is? It is how much time I used to spend on Twitter every day when I first started out.
Day in and day out, I was hustling to get engagement, build relationships, and grow my followers this way.
But soon … I realized I was exhausted.
I wanted to grow a following but I didn’t want to spend hours on social media.
I also didn’t want to play by the ever-changing algorithm (super annoying).
There were so many “Twitter experts” teaching people to tweet more, write threads, or even engineer engagement like replying 10 times before you post a tweet.
I do these too to be present on Twitter (my favorite social media still) so I can be discovered, but I refuse to believe that this is the ONLY way to grow my raving fanbase.
Your current approach is unscalable & slow
I get it - audience or community, whatever you call it, is the fuel of business growth these days.
When I looked at my early self and all the people around me to see how everyone was tackling this, honestly, things were not looking good!
You are now likely facing the same things:
😩 You’re overwhelmed by social media. You’re pushing content out every day and watching that follower number grow very slowly. It is also unclear what you can do with a new social follower.
🧐 You want to build an email list but don’t know how. You tried creating a newsletter or a lead magnet, but you can barely get any new emails coming in.
🤧 You enjoy 1:1 connections but you know this can’t scale. You reach out and kickstart conversations because you know it is the secret sauce to building your following. What you don’t have is time.
😢 You have the knowledge to share but don’t know how to productize it. Blog post? Guide? Ebook? Course? You want to maximize the number of people it can draw to you.
After growing my community tirelessly at the start, I discovered a powerful engine that took away all the things I mentioned!
I now look at social media differently because I no longer care about each tweet’s engagement. I am building a lot of trust with strangers online through my teaching.
I am bringing more and more people into my world - all on autopilot. Of course, I didn’t exactly know the power of it until now (23 months later) when the data clearly shows.
Aha! There is a better way!
I discovered an automated way to turn strangers into raving fans & future customers
Back in March 2021, I spent 2 weeks creating a free email course called Making Twitter Friends.
Let me show you what it has done for me.
In the following 23 months, 3,027 students came in by themselves.
From the 1st email to the 8th email, 94.5% of students (2,861/3,027) have stayed on.
I’ve built hundreds of amazing connections because the students reach out to me. It has happened since the launch of the course (March 2021).
And it is still going strong in March 2023.
Students have been vouching for the value they get from the course the whole time.
But most importantly, it kickstarted the growth of my email list - the ultimate place to grow my raving fans because I can directly reach them 100% of the time (well, if they open).
And many people getting to know me through Making Twitter Friends end up buying my other products like Find Joy in Chaos ($10-30) or Build in Public Mastery ($750-3,000).
I waited 23 months to show you this because … I don’t want to convince you that building a free email course this way is awesome.
I want the data to speak for itself.
And now I’m ready to put together everything I’ve done to create and run this “automation engine”.
You might be curious about what this course will teach you. Let’s go! ✈️
